Welcome to the Daily Lyric Word Game
One of my friends started a daily thread similar to this on Facebook, but I found that it quickly got shoved down my wall (and presumably others) in the hustle and bustle that is Facebook. It was so fun that I thought it would be enjoyable to have something similar in an easily-findable place every day. So...here goes.
Each day, I'll post a word. Just reply to the post with song lyrics that use that word. See how many we can come up with in a day. Some guildelines:
1. You only need to post the line or couple of lines of lyrics containing the word, not the whole song.
2. The word need only be in the lyrics, not necessarily in the title, which would be obnoxiously difficult.
3. Don't post more than one lyric an hour...I know, how will you restrain yourself if you're a music enthusiast? Well...give someone else a chance if you're a music guru.
4. You can use a plural of a singular word. For example, if "hand" is the word of the day, then a lyric containing "hands" would be fine.
5. Have fun!
I think it will be interesting to see a wide variety of songs represented, as I've initially invited people with tastes ranging from light rock to country to R&B to metal to oldies. Feel free to invite anyone you want. The more the merrier!
